Shakira’s Atlanta performance was not just a show, but an absolute marvel to behold. With her current tour being the World Cup Edition and the show being in a city hosting the World Cup, it was a double explosion of energy, good vibes, uniqueness and pure excitement.
On top of a fully packed State Farm Arena, the people in attendance matched Shakira’s unbeatable spirit and enthusiasm with constant jumping, singing and dancing. There wasn’t a pause or dip in the energy even when Shakira continued to perform, with her camera man following her, while doing an outfit change and hair and makeup retouches backstage.
She gave the crowd exactly what they wanted, from her classic hits like “Whenever Wherever” and “Copa Vacía” / “La Bicicleta” / “La Tortura”, to her Zootopia tracks like “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa), and closing it out with “She Wolf”. The multiple outfit changes, a full instrumental band to compliment her, an astounding production complete with lights, lasers and fire, Shakira’s stop in Atlanta was a spectacle.
Not only did she off every bit of talent she has with her dancing, singing, guitar playing and so much more, she showed the crowd her love for what she does. And what she does is make your jaw drop and stay on the floor. Her performance solidified that she is true, raw talent.
