Kacey Musgraves brought her latest tour to Atlanta’s State Farm Arena, with a show that felt distinctly her own from the second she stepped on stage.

Performing from the center of the floor, Musgraves was surrounded by fans on every side as she moved between newer material and longtime favorites, including “Slow Burn,” “Golden Hour” and “Follow Your Arrow.” The stage changed with her, using large screens, a rotating stage, lighting and shifting visuals to create a different atmosphere as the set moved along.

Between songs, she kept things casual, talking and joking with the Atlanta crowd rather than simply moving from one track to the next. She even added a couple of extra songs to the set, giving Atlanta a little more than originally planned.

Her vocals remained front and center, backed by a full live band that gave the songs a fuller sound in the arena. Some moments had the room quietly singing along while others brought nearly everyone to their feet.

She closed the night with a cover of George Strait’s “All My Ex’s Live in Texas,” ending the show on a fun note that had the crowd singing with her. From the visuals to the live arrangements, Musgraves managed to make a massive arena feel completely suited to her.
