LUCKI brought The Bad* Influence Tour to San Francisco’s Warfield on September 27, giving fans a night full of heavy bass, mosh pits and a crowd that knew just about every word.

Sk8star opened the night and wasted little time getting the crowd going. Performing songs like “sk8rokk,” “church’s,” “bloodhound,” “yeannn” and “beret,” he brought plenty of energy to the stage and had the floor moving well before LUCKI came out.

By the time LUCKI took the stage, the Warfield was ready.

With the stage covered in smoke and lights flashing through the venue, LUCKI came out with the laid-back style fans have come to expect from him. He wasn’t running around the stage or trying to force a reaction. He didn’t really have to. From the floor to the balcony, fans were screaming lyrics back at him, and mosh pits continued to open up throughout the night.

The set touched different parts of LUCKI’s catalog with songs like “Roundtripski,” “Leave Her,” “Faith,” “NUPPY INTRO,” “PICKY DEMONS,” “RIP,” “Super Urus,” “New Drank,” “Y NOT?” and “2021 Vibes.” Some tracks had the crowd bouncing, while others had what felt like the entire room rapping along.

But “Heavy On My Heart” was on another level.

As soon as the song came on, the crowd went insane. It was easily one of the biggest reactions of the night. Phones went up, lyrics got louder and the floor turned into a wave of people jumping and moshing. It was one of those moments where you could really see just how connected LUCKI’s fans are to his music.

The production made everything hit even harder. Smoke filled the stage throughout the set while the lighting changed with the mood of the songs. At times, you could barely see LUCKI through the haze before the lights cut through again. It was simple, but it fit his sound and made the show feel bigger.

What made the night work was that LUCKI never had to overdo it. He stayed relaxed for most of the set while still bringing bursts of energy when the moment called for it. The crowd took care of the rest.

And September 27 wasn’t LUCKI’s only night at The Warfield. He had another show lined up at the same venue the following night, September 28—a pretty good sign of the pull he has built in the Bay Area. Judging by the response from the first night, it wasn’t hard to see why.

The Warfield was loud, sweaty and full of energy, and LUCKI looked completely at home in the middle of it.
