The Marías rolled back into Berkeley for the Submarine Tour (Extended), and honestly, The Greek Theatre was the perfect spot for it. This show was a treat for everyone who didn’t want the last tour to end, giving fans another chance to catch the band’s breezy, dreamy vibe live.
The Marías are led by singer María Zardoya and drummer/producer Josh Conway. They’re known for blending indie pop with just about everything else. Soul, jazz, latin, you name it. Their songs are catchy, chilled out, and have this cinematic vibe. With “Submarine,” they’ve only gotten better, and each live show really lets their unique sound shine.
