Mike Stud, now going by just “mike.”, has been busy. He dropped a new single, “feels like home,” on May 23, and it’s got that classic mike. vibe: honest lyrics, catchy hooks, and a sound that feels both fresh and familiar. It’s clear he’s come a long way from his early days as a college rapper.

He also put out a new album called Live from SR this year. What makes this one cool is that it’s all recorded live, so you really get that raw, in the moment energy. It’s like you’re right there at one of his shows, hearing just how much he’s grown as a performer.

Speaking of shows, mike. hit the stage in Phoenix at the Arizona Financial Theatre on May 30. This stop was part of a bigger tour that’s been selling out across North America.

Earlier this year, he also released a 45 minute live concert video, Live from SR, on YouTube. He filmed it at his house after the first leg of his Upside Down Tour, so fans who couldn’t make it to a show could still get in on the action.

If you’ve been following mike. for a while, you know his story: he started out as a college baseball player, but after an injury, he turned to music and blew up online. He’s had chart topping albums, his own reality show (This Is Mike Stud), and now, with the name change to “mike.,” he’s all about making music that feels true to where he’s at now.
