Despite a chilly, rainy evening in Sacramento, fans packed Ace of Spades to capacity for G-Eazy’s Helium Tour stop, proving the Bay Area rapper’s enduring appeal. With support from Goody Grace and Marc E. Bassy, the night was a celebration of both new material and classic hits, creating a sense of nostalgia that resonated with longtime listeners and newcomers alike.

From the moment G-Eazy hit the stage-emerging through a cloud of fog in a sharp suit and black sunglasses, shouting “Sacramento, are you ready?!”-the energy in the room was electric. The crowd roared back as he launched into “One of Them,” setting the tone for a dynamic set that never lost momentum.

Though it’s been a while since G-Eazy embarked on a full tour, his performance showed no signs of rust. He commanded the stage with infectious energy, bounding across it and connecting with fans at every turn. During “Pray for Me,” he dropped to one knee, passionately delivering the lyrics before leaping back up as fans tossed clothing and memorabilia onto the stage-a testament to the connection he shares with his audience.

G-Eazy took a heartfelt pause after the first few songs to thank the crowd for their support, acknowledging the challenges of the current economy. “I would like to thank everyone for showing up and I do not take this lightly,” he said. “You send your hard-earned money to come see me, pick a favorite outfit, take an Uber here, or eat before the show, and I thank you all.” The sincerity in his words was met with resounding applause.

The setlist was a journey through G-Eazy’s career. While he performed tracks from his recent album “Freak Show,” the majority of the night was dedicated to fan favorites from albums like “When It’s Dark Out,” “These Things Happen,” and “Must Be Nice.” The crowd erupted when he asked, “Are there any Tumblr Girls?” before launching into the beloved track.

A highlight of the evening came when Marc E. Bassy joined G-Eazy on stage for “Some Kind of Drug” and “You & Me,” their chemistry igniting the venue. Other standout moments included performances of “Marilyn,” “Far Alone,” and the summer anthem “Me, Myself, & I,” each song met with enthusiastic singalongs.

The show felt like a homecoming-an artist reconnecting with his roots and his fans, reminding everyone why his music continues to resonate. Even after time away from touring, G-Eazy’s ability to deliver a memorable, high-energy performance remains undiminished.

If last night’s sold-out show is any indication, G-Eazy’s star power is as strong as ever. For those who missed it, the gallery from the event captures just a glimpse of the unforgettable night.
