Judah & the Lion concluded their tour beneath the Austin sky at Stubb’s Waller Creek Amphitheater on April 24, 2025. An early evening spring rain only heightened the atmosphere. When the gates opened, the crowd buzzed with anticipation, ready to celebrate the tour’s final stop.
Ethan Regan opened at 7:30 PM with an intimate, raw set. Armed with his voice and guitar, he wove together soulful folk with elements of rock, hip-hop, and funk, captivating the audience. Midway through his performance, Christian’s father, Dan London, delighted the crowd with a surprise saxophone appearance — a heartfelt moment that resonated with both the band and their already-enraptured fans.
At 8:30 PM, Judah & the Lion flipped the script. Rather than taking the stage traditionally, they emerged from within the crowd itself. After sharing those electric moments among the fans, they stormed the stage and launched into a high-energy sequence of crowd favorites.
Their signature sound was on full display — a dynamic fusion of fuzz bass, banjo riffs, soaring choruses, and hip-hop beats. They seamlessly navigated through hits like “Suit and Jacket,” “Take It All Back,” and “Going to Mars.”
The energy peaked mid-set with their raucous cover of Lit’s “My Own Worst Enemy,” joined by Ethan Regan and his band. Then the full Judah & the Lion ensemble lined up across the stage, leading the crowd in synchronized dancing to Lil Jon’s “Snap Yo Fingers” — a gloriously chaotic moment of pure joy.
In a quieter interlude, Judah reflected on the tour’s significance. His voice carried the weight of cherished memories, from this run of shows to past performances at ACL. This wasn’t mere nostalgia; it was a milestone worth marking.
The encore kicked off at 9:55 PM, culminating in communal singalongs and a final opportunity to seal new memories.
Though rain set the scene early on, the music proved to be the driving force of the night. The electric atmosphere lingered in Stubb’s long after the final note. Judah & the Lion transformed their tour’s end into an unforgettable celebration.
