Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR have released their highly anticipated collaborative album, $ome $exy $ongs 4 U, on February 14, 2025. The project, a blend of smooth R&B and hip-hop, marks a reunion for the two OVO Sound artists, whose collaborations have consistently resonated with audiences.
Drake and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s musical partnership spans over a decade, with notable collaborations including “Recognize,” “Come and See Me,” and “Loyal”. PARTYNEXTDOOR has also penned hits for Drake, such as “Legend” and “Own It”. The album was officially announced during PARTYNEXTDOOR’s Toronto tour stop in August 2024, where Drake surprised fans with a performance. He told the crowd that the album would be “waiting right there for you” when the weather got chilly.
Some Sexy Songs 4 U features 21 tracks. The album blends late-night R&B grooves with Drake’s signature introspection and PARTYNEXTDOOR’s sultry delivery. Featured artists on the album include Pim, Chino Pacas, and Yebba. Production was handled by PARTYNEXTDOOR and Drake’s frequent collaborators Noel Cadastre, Gordo, and Jordan Ullman, among others.
Snippets of tracks like “Deeper” and “Crying in Chanel” were shared leading up to the release. The official cover art depicts Drake and PartyNextDoor in fur coats amidst a snowstorm, in front of the Absolute World towers in Mississauga—PARTYNEXTDOOR’s hometown.
Leading up to the album’s release there was promotional skit starring the Canadian comedic duo Jermaine and Trevaunn Richards. Drake also shared a photo of a screenplay titled “$$$ 4 U,” based on an unreleased novel by his father, Dennis Graham.
$ome $exy $ongs 4 U follows PARTYNEXTDOOR’s PartyNextDoor 4 (2024) and Drake’s For All the Dogs (2023).
