In a Valentine’s Day surprise, Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco revealed on Instagram that they will be releasing a joint album, “I Said I Love You First,” on March 31st. This announcement follows their engagement in December 2024, solidifying a relationship that blossomed after dating rumors circulated in 2023.
“I Said I Love You First” promises an intimate look into Selena and Benny’s relationship, chronicling their love story from its beginnings to their future together. According to a press release, the 14-track album emerged organically from the comfort they found in creative collaboration. The title itself hints at the album’s narrative, revealing that Selena was the first to utter those three magic words.
The first single, “Scared of Loving You,” dropped on February 13th, co-written and co-produced by Finneas. This track serves as a declaration of love, setting the stage for the album’s exploration of their romance. The accompanying lyric video offers a glimpse into their personal lives, featuring tender moments shared between the couple.
While “I Said I Love You First” marks their first official project as a couple, Selena and Benny have collaborated in the past. Blanco produced Selena’s “Single Soon,” and they both worked on “I Can’t Get Enough.” Selena’s last album was “Rare,” released in 2020, while Benny dropped “Friends Keep Secrets 2” in 2021. With their combined musical prowess, “I Said I Love You First” is poised to be a deeply personal and sonically captivating journey through their love story.
