Sum 41 recently announced their forthcoming double album, “Heaven :x: Hell,” set to be released on March 29 via Rise Records. This album is poised to be Sum 41’s most ambitious yet, featuring two distinct parts. “Heaven” comprises 10 tracks of snarling high-energy pop punk, while “Hell” consists of ten heavy metal anthems complete with fret-burning solos, thrashing riffs, and fist-pumping hooks. The band, known for straddling the line between pop-punk and metal throughout their career, showcases their innovative sound and unmatched skill on this album, solidifying their status as pioneers even 27 years after the band’s inception.
You can pre-save and pre-order “Heaven :x: Hell” now at https://sum41.lnk.to/HeavenHell.
Sum 41 has already shared tracks from both sides of the album, namely “Rise Up” and “Landmines,” representing the metal Hell side and pop-punk Heaven portion, respectively. These tracks have garnered attention from notable outlets such as Entertainment Tonight, Revolver, Consequence, NME, Exclaim!, BrooklynVegan, Alternative Press, KNOTFEST, and many more.
Earlier this year, the band made headlines by announcing their breakup after an illustrious 27-year career in music. The news received coverage from major news outlets globally, including The New York Times, NPR, Rolling Stone, CNN, Bloomberg, Pitchfork, TODAY, CBS, Billboard, and others. “Heaven :x: Hell” is positioned as a grand farewell from Sum 41, aiming for nothing short of greatness and serving as a perfect parting gift to the fans who have supported them tirelessly.
Reflecting on their storied career, Sum 41 has left an indelible mark on rock history with over 15 million records sold worldwide, multiple Billboard Charting releases, a Grammy Award nomination, 2 Juno Awards (7 nominations), a Kerrang! Award in 2002, multiple Alternative Press Music Awards, and numerous other accolades.
