Bas, a GRAMMY-nominated and RIAA-certified artist, has unveiled his 2024 North America tour in support of his recently released fourth album, “We Only Talk About Real Shit When We’re Fucked Up.” The 23-city tour, produced by Live Nation, kicks off on March 3 at the House of Blues in Dallas and includes stops in major cities such as Los Angeles, Toronto, Atlanta, and more. The tour will conclude in New York at Irving Plaza on April 9.
Tickets for the tour will be available starting with an artist presale on Wednesday, January 17. Additional presales will run throughout the week leading up to the general on-sale, which begins on Friday, January 19, at 10 am local time at LiveNation.com.
Bas’s fourth album, produced by Boi-1da, T-Minus, J.Cole, and others, draws profound inspiration from his extensive travels across five continents since 2022. Collaborating with an international lineup of featured artists, including J. Cole, Amaarae, AJ Tracey, FKJ, A$AP FERG, Adekunle Gold, Blxckie, and Sha Sha, the album transcends borders. Additional production comes from Nigerian super producer Kel-P, J Lloyd (Jungle), Lydia Kitto, and more.
“We Only Talk About Real Shit When We’re Fucked Up” presents a dual narrative for Bas. On one hand, the album explores the societal phenomenon where sensitive topics become conversational only under the influence of substances, as seen in tracks like “Ho Chi Minh.” On the other hand, it serves as a commentary on society’s tendency to remain indifferent to challenging scenarios until they reach critical junctures, as reflected in tracks like “Khartoum” and “Decent.”
